My name is Dr Amy Louise Morgan and I am a Lecturer in Medieval Literature at the University of Surrey. I am a medievalist, feminist, book lover and history geek. This blog is intended as a space to post reflections on medieval literature, history, and the ways in which the medieval touches (to borrow Carolyn Dinshaw’s terminology) the present.
I am currently reworking my PhD thesis on queer time and space in some medieval romance and lays into my first monograph. Building on this work, my next project will analyse female space as queer space in Sir Thomas Malory’s Le Morte D’Arthur.
My research interests include: women in medieval literature, queer theory, queer time and space, gender theory, medieval Arthurian literature, and, last but not least, female authorship.
